About
These are great bird watching locations and we expect to see a large number of different bird species including several endangered and rarely seen species. Some of the species that we hope to see include Painted Button-quail, Turquoise Parrot, Regent Honeyeater, Red-capped Robin, Hooded Robin, Diamond Firetail and Grey-crowned Babblers.
Tamworth Birdwatchers welcomes new members but we also invite members of the public to join us to try bird watching. This Sunday outing is open to any one who wants to try bird watching and in particular it is a great opportunity for families who have sports commitments on Saturdays to join us. Enjoy the great outdoors with members of Tamworth Birdwatchers, we will happily share our knowledge and point out the various birds we see.
If you are interested, the field trip will be leaving at 8:00am, from the car park behind the Community Centre, in Darling Street. Be there early so we can organize car-pooling. Bring binoculars if you have them and come prepared with your morning tea, lunch and plenty of water.
