Parking meters will be switched back on in Tamworth CBD from Tuesday 1st September and vehicles without a ticket could risk a fine.
The meters have been off since April after the local Council passed a COVID-19 Relief Package for residents and local businesses.
Approximately $170,000 in revenue has been forgone during the four months according to Tamworth Regional Council.
The Council reviewed the relief package in June and voted to keep the meters turned off until September as opposed to the originally scheduled July date.
