10. LOCAL and FREE
Marsupial Park
Hand feed, walk and talk with native animals at this fun filled animal park. This well tended bush oasis boasts a variety of native animals, a free flight aviary, bush walking tracks and the newly established Adventure Playground. The Adventure Playground combines two age appropriate areas designed by Tamworth's children. Free gas barbecues are also available.
Tamworth Regional Playground
If you're not spending at least some of your time here these holidays, then you should! The Tamworth Regional Playground is situated on Kable Avenue right next to Bicentennial Park...and Hopscotch if you are in dire need of a coffee!
9. Radio Control Car Club
Are you a big kid with a radio control car, or you'd love to show your kids what it's about? Well this Sunday the 12th is Raceday! Come down and race your own radio control car or just come for a look.
Gates will be open from 9am and racing kicks off from 10am, don’t forget there will also be raffle tickets available to purchase for some awesome prizes 😊 including vouchers, soldering kit and a Shortcourse truck! $2 a ticket or 3 tickets for $5.
8. Tamworth Bubble Soccer
Why not try something a bit different that will definitely tire the kids out! Tamworth Bubble Soccer runs games on Saturdays for just $10 per player! Games are in 2 x 20 minute halves. And for the really keen, it's $15 per player for two games!
The bubbles are washed and disinfected regularly in compliance with government regulations. Great for the big and little kids!

6. Road Trip Anyone?
There's more than enough reasons to go on a road trip these holidays. It's cold and can be kind of boring inside. Why not make a trip up to Molly May's in Manilla, then detour past the Barraba Silos on the way home.
Or head up to where it's even colder in Armidale and treat the kids to a massive feast at Neville's Store. Classic burgers, loaded fries, shakes and more!

Free Youth Dance Classes (13th) Encore Dance Studio
Liverpool Plains Shire Council & Encore Dance Studio Quirindi are hosting FREE youth dance classes with the Shire’s own dance instructor, Erica Lawrence during the July school holidays on Monday 13 July. So book fast if you have children who would be interested in giving dancing a go!

4. Mid-week Arts and Crafts
Tamworth Regional Gallery Art Workshops
Due to popular demand the Gallery is offering two online workshops these holidays!
These workshops will be delivered through Zoom and every student will get a click and collect bag of materials containing everything needed! Delivery available within local area. A Zoom link will be emailed to the email address supplied at enrollment.
Please note: to allow time for the workshop packs to be prepared and picked up, these enrollments will be closed from 12pm Monday 13 July

Tamworth Ten Pins and More have re-opened at Centrepoint Tamworth and would you look at that...in time for the school holidays! Head on down to play social bowling from 10am with brand new arcade machines to play as well!

Check out both the PCYC for gymnastics classes or head to the old Thunderdome where Inflatable World is for some awesome activities that require a bit of moving! Staying active in the holidays at winter time can be tough, but these are great options for the kids.
1. I Spy a Zombie
Thanks to Escape Rooms Tamworth, Scream IceCreamery, Campgrounds and 92.9fm comes a special event this Saturday the 11th of July and next Thursday the 16th...I Spy A Zombie!
On Saturday the 11th of July and Thursday the 16th of July there will be three captured Zombies in town accompanied by Zombie experts. We ask that people who want to catch a glimpse of the rare and dangerous Zombies, use problem solving skills to decipher their whereabouts. once you decipher the location of the Zombies via our clues, we need you to provide the evidence of the sightings.
You can do this by posting the pics on Escape Rooms Tamworth Facebook wall, or by submitting them via email to escaperoomstamworth@gmail.com.
