2021 Tamworth Regional Council Local Government Election - Where To Vote

Tamworth heads to the ballots this weekend, and while pre-polling is still available until Friday, this is your guide to in-person voting locations in and around the region.


Local Government elections are held on the second Saturday of September every four years, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was postponed in 2020. With an over 90% fully vaccinated population in NSW, the election will go ahead this Saturday December 4th.


Locals are reminded to follow COVID-safe rules and to wear a mask at all indoor settings, with voting starting at 8am at all locations with polling closing at 6pm.

Residents will be voting to elect 9 councillors to represent the Tamworth community, with the elected group announcing a mayor and deputy mayor at their first meeting in January 2022.
