Police are appealing for information after an 82-year-old woman was assaulted during a home invasion in South Tamworth this morning.
About 5.10am today emergency services were called to Petra Ave after reports two intruders had gained entry through the rear door of the home.
The two unknown offenders demanded money from the woman before ransacking the premises and assaulting her.
Cash and an Apple iPad were stolen during the invasion .
Officers from Oxley Police District attended and commenced an investigation.
