2. Australian Fender Bender titles
Saturday 25th May // Oakburn Park Speedway // 4pm
So much happening over at Oakburn Park Speedway this weekend as they host the biggest fender bender race of the year.
It’s the first time in seven years that the ANCA nationals will be held in Tamworth and rumour has it there will be many locals competing—with up to 90 drivers competing on the night including 24 in the national titles.
You can check out the Australian Fender Bender title from 4pm on Saturday or watch one of the many other races including the ANCA Nationals, junior racing, Formula 500’s and more.
There’ll be compact speed cars and vintage modified cars to get around as well so why not be apart of the incredible night at Oakburn Park Speedway.

3. Share The Dignity High Tea
Sunday 26th May // Hopscotch Restaurant, Kable Avenue, Tamworth // 3pm
Share the DigniTEA is raising vital funds to continue the work of Share the Dignity, such as funding #Pinkbox Dignity Vending Machines and supplying sanitary items to women and girls experiencing homelessness, at risk of homelessness, or victims of domestic violence.
Your ticket includes a delicious High Tea featuring savoury snacks and sweet treats, and a choice of tea, coffee or a cold drink.

4. Official Skatepark Opening
Sunday 26th May // Viaduct Park Youth Recreation Hub, Peel Street // 10am – 4pm
The official opening of the brand new Tamworth Regional Skatepark is on this Sunday and it’s set to be an incredible day.
Get down there from 10am to see this new skate park which is now among the best in the country—it’s no doubt set to host some of the biggest skateboarding competitions in the future.
Totem Skateboarding are putting together the ultimate opening event, bringing a team of coaches and portfolio of professional skaters, with demos, workshops and trick competitions.
The official opening at 12pm will see the winner of the Youth Council’s skate deck competition presented with a skateboard featuring their very own design.

5. Tamworth Musical Society’s Beauty and the Beast
Saturday May 24 // Capitol Theatre // 2pm
A talented cast, orchestra and crew have put together a stunning version of the Disney Classic film, Beauty and the Beast.
Tying together the three pillars of singing, dancing and acting, the Musical Society have been rehearsing since January—quite a long rehearsal for any production!
For many of the cast, performing in an iconic Disney stage production is a dream come true, especially for Bill who plays ‘The Beast’ and Cara who plays ‘Belle’.

6. Opening weekend of the live action Aladdin

If you remember Aladdin from 1992, then you’ll love this brand new live action film starring Will Smith as the Genie.
It’s an absolutely cinematic experience, filled with bright colours, a new take and twist of a few of the classic songs like Friend Like Me.

For all the young girls looking up to our Disney Princesses, you won’t be disappointed in Naomi Scott, who shows us what it means to be a woman in 2019, all within the world of Agrabah.

7. Werris Creek Men’s Open Stableford
Sunday May 26 // Werric Creek Golf Club // from 8am
Why not enjoy the sunshine, get out of the house and head down to the Werris Creek Golf Club.
They are hosting their Men’s Open Stableford championships from 8am and there are over six events to get involved in, not to mention nearest to the pin and longest drive.
Why not be a part of the field of 70 golfers this Sunday, and support the Werris Creek Golf Course.

8. Tamworth City Bowling Club’s Family Fun Day
Saturday May 25 // Corner of Napier and Brisbane Street // 8am – 2pm
Come along and help the Tamworth City Bowling Club raise money for Sunrise Rotary Groups in the region with their Family Fun Day.
Enjoy a day of fun with the family and maybe even sell off some unwanted items collecting dust in the garage with the money raised going straight to charity.
There’s kids bowls, plus a jumping castle and face painting—and if you get hungry, sausage sandwiches are on the menu for sure!
Finish off the day with a free game of bowls and I think you’ve got yourself a winner.
9. Mulla Creek and Cockburn Ranges trail rides

Before we get into the thick of winter, why not make the most of these gorgeous and sunny days on a two hour trail ride with the Tamworth and Kootingal Horse Riding Adventures.
They are open seven days a week, so even if your weekend isn’t on a Saturday or Sunday, this is an activity perfect for everyone.

10. Upper Horton Trail Ride
