Appeal for dashcam footage after four guns stolen


Police are appealing for dashcam footage in Oxley Vale after the theft of a firearm safe containing four firearms last week.


Sometime between 6.30pm on February 10, and 7pm February 11, a home in Higgins Lane was broken into while the occupants were not home.


A Marlin bolt-action rifle, Rossi rifle, Savage rifle and a Stoeger rifle were stolen from an approved firearm safe located at the property.


The theft was reported to officers attached to Oxley Police District and an investigation has commenced.


Police are asking for anyone that may assist with dashcam footage between 8.45am and 9.45am in Higgins Lane on February 11 to contact Tamworth Police Station on 02 6768 2999 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.


Inquiries are continuing.
