Werris Creek’s David Taylor Oval will receive a quarter of a million dollars’ worth of upgrades thanks to the Stronger Country Communities Fund.
The ground is home to the Werris Creek Magpies who are set to field two men’s teams and a women’s team in this year’s Group 4 Rugby League competition following the club's return to first grade last season.
Works on the ground valued at $247,549, will include the construction of a new amenities block and the refurbishment of an on-site bore to for irrigation.
The works will complement other recent upgrades to the grandstand, commentary box and public-address system at the ground.
