Does NSW need more diversity in who creates our health policy?

NSW Multicultural Health Week 2020 is focusing on health literacy and the safe use of medications.


2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and the global pandemic has put health front and centre of public consciousness.


According to the 2016 census, almost 2 million people in NSW speak a language other than English at home and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds have faced additional challenges during this year’s global pandemic.


Journalist Toni Ambrogetti spoke to Ashley Young, Manager, Multicultural and Refugee Health of the Hunter New England Local Health District about what's being done in our region to assist culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
