10. Gunnedah Monthly Markets

Saturday 15th February, 8:30am - 12:30pm Wolseley Park, 94 Conadilly St, Gunnedah

Market days bring the best of the region's handmade crafts and food, alongside plants gifts and second hand items. For a nice morning in Gunnedah, head to Wolseley Park, opposite KFC, and down Tempest street. Lots more stalls in the park as well. Plus a jumping castle for the kids!

9. Mental Resilience in Tough Times

Saturday 15th February, 7 PM

St Stepens Presbyterian Church Tamworth, 18 Mathews Street, West Tamworth

Colleen Hirst is an experienced clinical psychologist. In a stressful world, we need strategies for coping. With a mix of humour and seriousness, Colleen will help us manage in tough times. $10 p.p. entry.

Kootingal War Memorial Pool, Denman Avenue

6:30am register for a 7:30am start at the Kootingal Pool. Long Course - Swim 300m, Bike 18Km, Run 4km ($10-20*) Enticer - Swim 100m, Bike 4km, Run 1km ($10-15*) Tadpoles - Swim 25m, Bike 200m, Run 200m ($5*)

*Children under 18 years race free with a paying adult.

7. Documentary screening: The Biggest Little Farm

Sunday 16th February, 3:30 PM – 5:30PM The Royal Theatre, Henry Street, Quirindi

The Biggest Little Farm is a 2018 American documentary film, directed by Emmy Award Winning director John Chester.

The film profiles the life of Chester and his wife Molly as they acquire and establish themselves on Apricot Lane Farms in Moorpark, California. Co-hosted by Maddy Pursehouse and Tamworth Regional Landcare Association.


6. NRL Officiating Course

Saturday 15th February, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

West Tamworth League Club, Phillip Street, West Tamworth

Refereeing is a fun, exciting, non-contact way to be involved with Rugby League. You get to see all the action from the best position on the field and it’s a great way to keep fit at the same time. Referees play an important role in providing a fun and safe environment for all Rugby League participants.


Learn from Brandon Vilder and Tony Hardy all about the role of a referee, laws, code of conduct, insurance and more! Must be 13 and over to participate.

5. Billy Grima Memorial Harness Race

Sunday 16th February, 6pm – 11pm Paceway Tamworth, Showground Road, Taminda

Come along for a special night meeting at the Paceway with the Tamworth Harness Racing Club, for the Billy Grima Memorial as the feature race.

It's free entry for spectators, including a 9 race program with the Billy Grima Memorial as the feature race. First race at 6.03pm

This memorial race had its inaugural year in 2017 to honour a Billy Grima, a man who saw harness racing not just as his livelihood, but his hobby. Because of Billy's involvement, the Grima family today contribute greatly to the sport with the siblings all playing a role in harness racing here in Tamworth.

4. Catch Up for a Cuppa

It's always great to see organisations or groups give people the opportunity to make new friends and there are two events this weekend for that very thing! Why not come along and have a cuppa and make new friends in Tamworth.

3. Central North Womens Rugby 7s Trial

As the 2020 NSW Country Champs are fast approaching in March, the rep season starts this weekend with the Trial for the CN 7's side to compete in Woy Woy at the champs.


2. Peel Street Markets

Saturday 8th February, 12 PM, at the Australian Lifestock and Event Centre


Formerly known as the Peel Street Cottage Craft Fairs, the Tamworth Peel Street Markets are held monthly on the 3rd Sunday, 8am till 1pm.

From small beginnings these markets have grown considerably in size, now hosting over (50 and up to 70) stalls, providing an outlet for the market Industries such as arts, crafts, hobbies and hand made, home grown products.

1. ABCRA Quirindi Rodeo

Saturday 15th February, 10am - 4pm

The Quirindi Showgrounds, East St & Wallabadah Road, Quirindi

Quirindi puts on a show at this family-friendly event featuring Saddle Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Steer Wrestling, Breakaway Roping, Barrel Racing and more!

The first performance starts at 10am with Novice Barrel Race, followed by lots of events. The second performance starts with the Grand Entry at 6pm and culminates in the presentation of the Allan Frewin Memorial All Round Cowboy and Cowgirl Trophy.

The Quirindi Showgrounds gates open at 9am.

Adults $15, Children 6-16 $5, Children under 5 FREE, Aged Pensioners $5, Family $35 (2xAdults&2xChildren).
