Fire burning near Nundle has been upgraded to a watch and act level

The fire burning at Hanging Rock has been downgraded to an advice level but is still burning out of control.

The fire is burning in a north-westerly direction towards Burrows Creek and has now burnt 780 hectares.

The fire activity has increased throughout the night with the fire being fanned by strong south-easterly winds.

Residents should continue to monitor the conditions, if your plan is to leave, leave early before the fire threatens and take advice from firefighters.
