The weekend saw the skies open up, with parts of the region battling flooding due to storms and heavy rain.
In the North West, the SES responded to about 70 call-outs in the region, including 30 in the Tamworth area.
Crews also rescued adults, children and animals from a home between Boggabri and Gunnedah which had been inundated with floodwater.
Rail lines at Werris Creek were almost completely submerged seeing train schedules cancelled, while Narrabri Shire Council issued a boil-water notice for its residents after the town supply was contaminated by flooding.
Narrabri Firefighter Crews assisted to evacuate 14 residents and a number of animals to higher ground and out of the rising floodwater to nearby streets.

Currently, there is flooding at Oxley Highway near Appleby Lane and Manilla Road near Appleby Lane.
