A man has been charged following an investigation into a fatal single-vehicle crash north-west of Tamworth.
About 1.10pm on March 5, emergency services were called after reports of a vehicle roll-over on Banoon Road near Borah Creek.
The Volkswagon Golf hatchback rolled multiple times before crashing into a tree and a 49-year-old man, who was a passenger in the car, died at the scene.
The driver, a 45-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Tamworth Hospital for treatment.
Officers from Oxley Police District established a crime scene before the Northern Tablelands Crash Investigation Unit commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, the 45-year-old was arrested at Tamworth Police Station where he was charged with negligent driving occasioning death.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Tamworth Local Court on Monday 6 April 2020.
