Manilla pool vandalised, police investigate

THE Manilla pool has reopened after it was damaged by vandals at the weekend.

Staff had no choice but to close the community facility on Saturday morning in order to clean up and repair the damage.

Council said the town's pool was targeted on Friday night after people broke in and ransacked the grounds, breaking glass, chucking rubbish in the pool and damaging it.

Police are currently investigating the incident, and anyone with information is urged to contact Tamworth Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
