With the city’s biggest event just days away, the focus is on helping businesses reap the rewards.
Tamworth Regional Council is calling for local businesses to register for the Festival Friendly Business Program, which aims to encourage festival visitors to shop locally.
Coordinator of economic and destination development Kate Baker said they are particularly looking for shops outside the accommodation and hospitality side of things.
"It is about encouraging visitors to support local business and shop locally," she said.
"We have launched it this year ... we are just trying to broaden the net."
To join, businesses can contact TRC and they will be supplied with a Festival Friendly Business Program sticker, listed on the website and go into the draw to be advertised on council's social media during the 10 days of the festival.
Over 50 local businesses have registered for the program, with registrations closing Monday.
