A police chase through Tamworth ended in an arrest after a man allegedly failed to stop for a breath test.
About 11.30am on Wednesday, police were executing a high visibility operation in South Tamworth.
Officers attached to Oxley Police District attempted to stop a vehicle for a random breath test on Woodward Street.
Police said the vehicle failed to stop, and a pursuit was initiated.
A short time later the vehicle came to rest on Thomas Street.
A man was arrested and taken to Manilla Police Station where he is assisting with inquiries.
