Police investigate rural crime incidents


In a separate incident, in early February 2020 a total of 19 Angus Cross and Santa Cross calves were stolen from the property

Police are appealing for information after a calf was shot and killed.


Between 5pm on Sunday and 3pm on Tuesday, a four-month-old Murray Grey calf was killed at the front of a property on Eulah Creek Rd, Eulah Creek.


Rural crime investigators said there have been recent issues with illegal hunting in the area and police are investigating this as a line of inquiry.


In a separate incident, police are also investigating the theft of 19 calves from Delungra on the Gwydir Highway.


IN OTHER NEWS:

In early February 2020, a group of Angus Cross and Santa Cross calves were stolen from the property.


The calves, which were two to three months old, were not branded or marked.


Anyone with information about either incident or who may have noticed suspicious activity in the area is urged to contact their local police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
