Robert St Aggravated Robbery

An investigation is underway after a man was injured during an aggravated robbery on Robert Street last Saturday between 10pm and 10.30pm, where three males forced entry to a home.

They confronted the occupant, a man aged 33, before assaulting him, hitting in the head with a wooden guitar.

The man was held at knifepoint while two of the males ransacked his home, stealing keys and a wallet before running from the scene.

They were last seen running west along Robert Street towards Hillvue Road.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District attended the home and established a crime scene.

The man was taken to Tamworth Hospital for treatment to multiple facial injuries.

Police wish to speak with three males who they believe can assist with the investigation.


All three persons have been described as Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander in appearance, between 15 to 20 years old, with their faces covered.


Two of the men were last seen wearing black or dark-coloured clothing, and the third an orange-coloured jacket or jumper.


Investigations continue.
