Strict visitor rules for Tamworth Hospital
Tamworth Base Hospital patients will have limited visitors in a bid to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
For the safety of patients, and the general community, HNE Health is taking steps to reduce the risk of COVID-19 spreading by changing guidelines on visits to hospitals and inpatient facilities.
"We ask that patients are only visited by their main carer or significant other and that it is limited to just one visitor at a time," it said.
As per current advice, visitors must not enter any hospital or facility if:
They have a fever or a cold and flu-like illness or
They have returned from overseas in the last 14 days, or
They have been in contact with anyone who has been confirmed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
"Please help us do everything possible to protect our patients by following these guidelines until further notice," HNE Health said.
