A three-vehicle accident on Calala Lane brought peak hour traffic to a standstill just before 9 am on Wednesday 5th August.
Emergency services attended the scene on Calala Lane just 200 metres from the roundabout with Goonoo Goonoo Road.
NSW Ambulance paramedics assessed a young 17-year-old at the scene however, transfer to the hospital was refused.
A small silver car was wedged off the road on the tree-lined street with the bonnet completely smashed up and front bumper hanging off.
The accident left traffic backed up for around 2km's on the main road connecting Calala residents to Tamworth CBD.
Police attended the scene taking statements of all involved and investigations will continue into the cause of the crash.
Traffic began to clear by 9:30 am.
