A large-scale manhunt has seen police charge three people, with one attempting to hide in a ceiling cavity.
On Saturday, officers started an operation in Mungindi to search for a man wanted in connection with several offences allegedly committed in NSW and Queensland.
Working together through the night and day, members of the New England Police District, Rural Crime Prevention Team, Oxley Region Enforcement Squad, Traffic & Highway Patrol Command, Dog Unit and Queensland Police Service searched the area.
About 8:45pm on Saturday, a 29-year-old woman was arrested at a house in Short Street, Mungindi, with outstanding arrest warrants.
About 1:50pm on Sunday, police attended an address in Campbell Street where a 28-year-old man was located in a ceiling cavity.

He was arrested and later charged with two arrest warrants for revocation of parole and rural theft offences.
The male was refused bail to attend Moree Court on February 24 and will be dealt with for offences allegedly committed in Queensland at a later date.
Police searched the home and found a .22 calibre rifle barrel with receiver and bolt attached.
A 26-year-old man was arrested and taken to Mungindi Police Station where he was charged with possessing an unregistered firearm, possessing an unauthorised firearm and not keeping a gun safely.
He was granted conditional bail to attend Mungindi Local Court on April 22.
New England Police District Commander, Superintendent Scott Tanner, said the residents of Mungindi have again proved themselves with immense dedication and community spirit to assist us in ensuring the safety of their community.
"We are both proud and thankful of their ongoing support," he said. "Mungindi is only a small town, but it is mighty."
