Due to ongoing rainfall in the region, several roads have been closed due to flooding.
Burgmanns Lane, South of Tamworth:
Closed to through traffic at Goonoo Goonoo Creek as there is water over the roadway.
Benama Bridge, Old Wallabadah Road at Garoo:
The side track is closed
Daruka Road and Davidsons Lane remain closed to through traffic due to rising water from Moore Creek.
With between 25mm to 35mm of rain falling around Tamworth overnight, flows in local waterways are up and more road closures are expected.
Drivers are reminded not to enter flood water and obey road closed signs.
