In tragic news, a woman has died after her car was involved in a collision with a truck.
About 6.15pm on Friday, emergency services were called to the Oxley Highway, near the town of Walcha, following reports of a two-vehicle crash.
The 46-year-old female driver of the car died at the scene. The truck driver was uninjured and was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from Oxley Police District established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
